Aurora Maldonado, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I look forward to working with you, using a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, to help empower you in reaching your goals. My passion is providing counseling services to help destigmatize mental health, as it is important to our overall well-being. I provide counseling to English and Spanish speaking adults/youth.
I provide psychoeducation and work with clients to help them improve their life satisfaction with the treatment of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment concerns, and social/interpersonal concerns. I have experience working with adolescents who have intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) in a life skills/work-based program within the high school setting. I have also worked with the parents of children diagnosed with IDD in an outpatient developmental pediatrics and autism clinic. I have also gained experience working in a partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient program that provides group and individual therapy mental health services.
I graduated from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in social work in 2021 and from the University of Houston with a master’s degree in social work in 2022. Most recently I have obtained licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW). I am fluent in both Spanish and English.
