Sharon Portillo, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! Thank you for taking the courageous, and often scary, step of taking care of YOURSELF. I may not have all of the answers, but I love being able to be a resource and guide to aide in bringing people through their healing process.
Being an advocate for mental health is a passion that ignited in me from a very early age -- I wanted to study human behavior and bring compassion, understanding, and expertise to the many complexities of what it is to be a human being!
I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Howard Payne University with a major in family studies and a minor in psychology. Thereafter, I graduated with my master’s in social work with a concentration in marriage and family at the University of Texas at Arlington.
I have worked in settings such as the hospital, school, correctional facilities, immigration, and private practice. I am passionate about helping the whole person and achieving a balance in the foundational areas of our lives -- emotional, mental, spiritual and physical.
I am bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish and am ready to serve our Hispanic community! I look forward to meeting you and serving you the best I can!
